Dota 6.59d Official Map - Dota-Allstars 6.59d Download

DotA 6.59D Download - DotA 6.59D official map will be released in 1-2 days to fix some exploit on previous Dota 6.59c. IceFrog said that he doesn't want to wait until Dota 6.60 released to fix this exploit (which means Dota 6.60 will still take some times ~_~).


Update: Now it's already released! Check this post for the Dota 6.59d changelogs and download links.

Dota 6.59d Changelogs:

* Fixed some item exploits
* Fixed a rare memory related bug
* Temporarily changed switch voting system. It requires 100% of the vote for now. There will be a better -switch implementation in the next version or two
* Fixed a few other misc bug/exploits


6.60 is still in very active development. I will try to post more updates about it when it gets closer to release. If you have any suggestions you'd like to offer for it, please email me and let me know.

Dota 6.59 Official Map come out faster than predicted, now you can download Dota-Allstars 6.59. Too bad the quest is not yet finished. But IceFrog is promised that the quest will be ready on Dota 6.59b and Tauren Chieftain on Dota 6.60.

Demonic Conversion:

Experimental Runes
====================
This temporary mode changes the rune system to a more experimental one. I will be changing how -er works from version to version to try out different ideas. I don't plan on any one version of the new runes to replace the current system directly, so do not panic Instead, it will be used as something to create discussion, spark ideas, find flaws and playtest different concepts over time.

How -er works for this version: Runes spawn simultaneously on both sides at 3 minute intervals (instead of 2). Again I have no plans to make this permanant.

Dota 6.58b AIPlus - Dota-Allstars 6.58b AIPlus v1.52 Revision 1 is released and ready to download! The only Dota 6.58b AI. Now, you can try new build on Storm Spirit and Dirge the Undying.







DotA Allstars 6.58b AI+ 1.52 Revision 01
----------------------------------------
This is a port of RGB's AI+ v1.52 (originally written for DotA Allstars 6.48b).

It behaves the same as the original AI, and has only been updated to account for balance changes, new item recipes, and most new features. As such, some new content does not work fully with the AI yet.

THERE IS NO AI FOR LIFESTEALER, INVOKER, CLOCKWERK GOBLIN, ADMIRAL PROUDMOORE OR WINDRUNNER. THEY WILL GET ITEMS BUT WILL NEITHER USE NOR LEARN THEIR SKILLS.

Known bugs with AI:
-AI don't properly react to -nb, -nm and -nt modes
-Some exploits that should have been fixed are still in the game...just don't use them. If you really want to cheat against AI, just use -test

Some commands have yet to be implemented properly:
-ah
-afk
-kickafk
-rd (the new one in 6.53, -rd is in the game but done the same way pre-6.53)
-cm

Additionally, I have added two Fun Taverns in the lower right corner. Currently includes seventeen legacy heroes (possibly more in the future): Old Invoker (6.12b), Old Lifestealer (6.48b), Old Silencer (6.12b), Gambler (6.06), Old Morphling (5.84b), Old Stealth Assassin (5.84b), Old Pudge (5.51), Old Chen (5.64), Old Medusa (5.84b), Void Demon (3.0d), Rider (5.72), God of Wind (6.01), Flame Lord (5.51), Avatar of Vengeance (6.32b), Astral Trekker (3.0d), Bat Rider (6.00), and Conjurer (5.51).

To access the fun taverns, type -fun within the first 15 seconds of the game. Note that Fun Tavern heroes do not have AI scripts and will not buy items or use/learn skills.

To use the -tryhero command, type in -fun within the first 15 seconds of the game, then type in -tryhero before picking a hero.

Extra Note: Since people regularly misunderstand how this works, the damage returned is reduced twice, first when you get the damage and then again when you deal it back. Flesh Golem
------------
Dirge's hatred for all living beings allows him to transform into a monster. While he's transformed he carries a plague that affects nearby enemy units. When a plagued unit dies, its essence is transferred back to the Undying.

Storm Spirit becomes overloaded with electrical energy whenever he casts a spell. The charge is released on his next attack as an electrical burst, dealing damage and slowing nearby units.

Ball Lightning
---------------
Storm Spirit becomes enveloped with energy, losing his physical form, and travels until he depletes his mana or chooses to stop. While in this form, he deals damage to nearby units based on how far his electrical form has traversed. Damage, speed and area of effect improves per level.

Stops traveling whenever you run out of mana. Deals damage in a small area around you based on distance traveled.

Damage: 8/12/16 per 100 units traveled
Manacost: (15 + 7% of total manabase) + mana based on distance traveled (10+1% per 100 units)

Cooldown: 0

Travel speed and damage AoE improves per level.
You can cast spells like Static Remnant during your roll if you are quick enough.
Specific interactions with spells/projectiles follow the same rules as Waveform does.




Replay Data Specs:

- "Ban",playerid,heroid: is sent for each time a hero is banned in cm/xl
- "id" packets are sent after the mode phase (supports -sp)
- "GameStart",1: synced to time 0 ingame (creep spawn time)
- "9" packets are now sent each time a hero is picked



Switch:
========
If someone wants to switch player slots with an enemy player or leaver, he
types -switch . If he types -switch without the slot it lists the possible numbers that can be used. After a player uses this command, no one else can attempt a switch for 60 seconds, to prevent confusion. All players are then presented with a command to enter to accept, something like "-switch accept" or "-ok". If 100% of all player agree , then you take the slot of the player you swapped with and both heroes swap positions. Players have until the 60 seconds are over to accept the offer.

Update 1 (14 Nov 2008)
Anyway, quick update, finished most of the CoP stuff. Still some bug fixes from 6.57 I need to get to, as well as that odd command line bug with 10 players (though I might punt that to Rev. 2). I'll be gone for the weekend so I'll try to have something out before I leave.

Ok then, even thought he said it for 6.57, i think we will get our map this weekend :)

Update 2 (19 Nov 2008)
Been busy as of late, but I've updated most of the 6.57 content. I'm not too sure what was done in 6.57b, and there are still a few bugs which I haven't been able to address, including the long command bug a few addressed in 6.57. I'll probably just go ahead and release something soon anyway, at least to see if the Focus Fire fix works for people.

Seems a good news to me :)

I think the Dota 6.57b AIplus won't be as long as before because Dota 6.57b only contain critical bugs fix. I will update this post if there's any news about it and will place the link if the map is ready. Until then, let's just try the new map and hope for the good news from BMP :)

Even though there's still a lot of bugs ^_^ And now Dota 6.57 already went live. So as usual, this post will provide links and update of the Dota 6.57 AI progress :)

6.57 seems straightforward enough. Looks like I might have to manually redo all the regions again, which is pain, but not difficult.

Okay. Thanks guys, I'll see if I can have something up as soon as tomorrow.

Also, an update on that command line thing: you'll note that long commands only fail with 10 players (works fine with 9). It seems to be hanging on the Scoreboard generation routine, which you can see when you try to input a long command with 10 players. The scoreboard will appear in the upper right corner (says "DotA Allstars", regardless of the mode), and if you open it, you'll see it's only half done. There's probably a loop that keeps running and stops the script from proceeding, which halts the system from detecting the specified game modes. I need to look at it more (I only glanced briefly at it last night before going to bed).

Also, fixed KOTL learning attribute bonuses and Crystal Maiden now learns Brilliance Aura after Frost Nova and Frostbite (instead of at levels 22-25).

Well, expect a quick update from BMP :)
